Feb. 2-March 13, 2026

Reception: 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 5

Artes Gráficas de Oaxaca celebrates the rich tradition and ongoing impact of graphic art from Oaxaca, Mexico. Presented by the Louis Carlos Bernal Gallery, the exhibition features works from the private collection of Nancy Mayagoitia and Alfonso Gómez Sandoval, highlighting deep cultural roots, shared traditions, and strong connections to social and political life.

The exhibition features works by Fernando Andriacci, Daniel Barraza, Gerardo de la Barrera, Enrique Flores, Josefa García, Sergio Hernández, Raúl Herrera, Maximino Javier, Emiliano López Javier, Abelardo López, Ivonne Kennedy, Amador Montes, Eddie Martínez, Dionisio Martínez, Felipe Morales, Rodolfo Morales, Tomás Pineda Matus, Cecilio Sánchez, Virgilio Santaella, Rufino Tamayo, Francisco Toledo, and Alejandra Villegas.

Gallery director David Andres is especially excited to present Rufino Tamayo’s Cabeza en Rojo (1973, lithograph), a striking example of Tamayo’s influence on Oaxacan graphic art. The exhibition also highlights Oaxaca’s collaborative printmaking culture, where artist-run workshops thrive through teaching, community outreach, and high-quality print production. Presented in collaboration with the Consulate of Mexico in Tucson, Artes Gráficas de Oaxaca offers a unique opportunity to engage with a vibrant international artistic community.
