The Bernal Gallery proudly presents an exhibit featuring the artwork of Dana Roes, Pima’s esteemed Dean of Arts, from January 27 through March 7. This captivating showcase includes Roes’ paintings from the past 10 years to her latest abstract paintings, which delve into psychological and material spaces, exploring themes of voids, transition and the coexistence of various modes of existence. Known for her abstract and semi-representational paintings, Roes invites viewers to find comfort in ambiguity and the spaces in between. Her acclaimed career includes an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania, a Fulbright Grant, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, numerous prestigious awards and international exhibitions. This event promises an enriching experience of Roes’ thought-provoking and evocative work.
