This exhibition features Los Angeles-based artist Rubén Ortiz-Torres and 3B Collective. Ortiz-Torres, a pioneer of Mexican postmodernism and professor at UC San Diego, creates work across painting, photography, video, and customized objects to explore cultural hybridity, globalization, and the shifting meanings of everyday symbols. 3B Collective, formed by artists who met at UCLA, focuses on public art, mentorship, and social justice, amplifying BIPOC voices and fostering community engagement. Together, they present a powerful dialogue on identity, transformation, and the role of art in shaping and reflecting community life.
