Pima Community College - Pima Arts
Student Legacy

Annika Walter

I have always enjoyed singing and performing, and I hope to pursue a career in the arts. When I was in high school, I attended a PCC musical theater performance that strengthened my interest. I got lots of encouragement from Pima faculty to consider the music program and I am so glad I took their advice.

Dr. Grimes has made a huge impact on me at PCC. There have been multiple moments in class where she has encouraged, and seen my full potential. I have appreciated the compliments and awareness she gives me of what my strengths are. Dr. Grimes is a kind, and a lovely person to work with, and has boosted my confidence in theory. I have enjoyed working with all of the PCC staff, and am grateful I have spent my time here.

I want to work with elementary-aged kids in the arts, specifically music and theater. Pima faculty have lots of experience in educational settings with kids and they bring that perspective to the classroom and my individual conversations with them. They encourage me to pursue my goals because they can see me doing that work in the future, which is such a motivator for me.
